Can differences work out?

Sometimes I wonder whether this clichéd phrase can deliver a point across? For instance, I could think a number of similarities we have in common.

-We love sushi. Score!! I think it's a sign that we may get along if I knew someone who enjoys sushi as much as I do. 

-We have similar astrology signs. We weigh and balance each of our tastes. 

-Same ambitions goes for similar majors.

But we are both different when it comes down to our proclivities. I was a gamer girl back in the day, but growing up left me some hobbies behind the dust and had me move onto newer discoveries. He is indeed a big gamer; hence, he is a dude alright! I still love The Sims regardless and I have my fair share of playing it the entire day just as how a typical person would stay at home playing League of Legends. Out of the anime phase, I was an obsessive otaku back in those younger days; however, many people are caving into anime conventions just to meet those of similar hobbies. I've told myself many years that I would attend an anime convention; out of the contrary, I hesitated and did not go to on. So what is my point? He cosplays every year and I never bought into that hobby because I find it a bit geeky towards my taste. Except I would be willing to frolick in a maids costume *squeeeee*.

-Our music taste are differentiate from what we would listen. He listens to mainstream and some dubstep whereas I go outside my zone and listen to classic rock/alternative/indie. Not a big fan of Katy Perry or Taylor Swift if you understand mainstream. 

I would make a damn list in a Venn's diagram if I can, but I'm not going to bore myself nor anyone. Otherwise, there will be quarrels here and there and that is not what I aim for. Me, on the other hand, haven't been in a relationship for the longest time has me wondering whether things may work out in the end or they may fail and have us broken apart. This is something new in mind, but I shall let everything flow by as it is.
