If you can fix broken lipstick, why not fix lip balms too?

Being one of MichellePhan's phans (haha see what I did there) since 2009, I keep track of every single makeup tutorial from this makeup guru. So if you don't know who she is, I highly request you to click another tab on your screen, direct yourself to YouTube, and check herself out. :)

Besides the point here, if you recall her "Lipstick Bullet" video, you may remember the process from converting a broken lipstick into a lipstick that looks in tip-top shape in a matter of various steps. Well... I haven't breaken any lipsticks yet; although, I decided that I could do something similar to broken lip balm? They are almost identical, in terms of one is fully opaque whereas one is sheer to absolute invisible coverage. This is how I came up with the tutorial. Stick around if you want to learn some knowledge on how you can fix your broken lip balm.
1. Time to fix this tiny baby up. Unscrew your cap off and leave it aside. Get your lip balm tube and twist it up a little to a desired length. You want enough to work with the leftover smooshed lip balm under the cap. Now freeze it for at least 30 mins to an hour until it is firm.

2. Grab a toothpick or a wooden screwed because we are going to grab the excess amount of leftover balm from the inside cap.

3. Try to get as much out of there by swirling around the outside of the balm, which will then be a lot simple to extract from.

4. Hopefully you get this much hah.

5. Now it is the time to get down and dirtyyyy. Use your previous toothpick/screwed with the excessed lip balm and stick that on top of your lip balm. We are going to smooth everything out by cleaning off the edges and making sure it is like how a stick lip balm bullet would look like. Mine is really messy so please bare with me since it doesn't have to be perfect. But at least try? :3

6. Mine ended up looking like this unfortunately. But whatever I'm pleased at the results. If you can do better by making the lip balm look more presentable, then you are awesome. Just clean/smooth any edges again as you wish for the second time and time to let your lip balm go inside the freezer again!

So when time is up (at least 30 mins) then you know to take it out from the freezer. You should push down the lip balm bullet very gently with your finger or grab a glove, love one, if you are afraid of germs m'dear. :) if you can't push down past the desired limit, then perhaps that is only as low as you can go. But keep trying if you would like to.

The aftermath isn't too shabby. I could have done a better job if this mini project isn't rushed. Presentation-wise... you tell me? I'm not entirely happy with the outcome because I mean... Look at how slightly off it looks to a typical lip balm. It's all good because as long as you are able to push the lip balm down enough to enclose it with its cap and no sign of lip balm oozing out. Mission accomplished! I apologize if it isn't proven as the best one out of all diy tutorials  because I never created my own whatsoever.  But all I care about is how I am pleased about attempting this D.I.Y to its test. ^_^
